Explanations

Electric heating

If the heater is only heated electrically, i.e. only a heating rod is used, a 1/2" radiator plug must be purchased additionaly. This serves to plug the other hole in the heater which would otherwise be used for the central heating connection valve. We recommend filling the heater with distilled water. It is also recommended to pour in the LIKIDO antifreeze and anti-corrosive heat transfer fluid.
It is necessary to use a heating rod with the same or similar performance according to the specification of the radiator. For heating rods with a thermostat, the temperature of the liquid in the heater is controlled.

Dual fuel heating

Dual fuel towel rails combine two types of heating - central and electric. They can be connected to the central heating system, and also to an electric socket. We recommend a heating rod with the same or similar performance according to the specification of the radiator.

If you have a heater with a central connection, in depends on whether the heating rod can be connected via a valve (in such case a combination valve is used) or whether the rod is connected separately to the side part of the radiator (using a conventional valve). In case of a side connection, a combination valve is always used. There is a choice of using a manual valve or a valve with a thermostatic head

Manual valve: the valve control head can be installed on the left/right side regardless of the hot water supply location. The temperatur eis controlled manually.
A valve with a thermostatic head: the integrated thermostat maintains the temperature inside the towel rail. The thermostatic head must be located at the hot water inlet (except MONO ONE).

The connection valves we offer are supplied with a clamping fitting for the most common pipes (Ø15 mm for copper and Ø16 mm for Alupex), so there is no need to buy anything else for the connection. For covering the inlet pipes and holes in the wall, we recommend the addition of cover rosettes.

Central heating

In the case of central heating, the selection of the connection valves is very important. You can choose between using a manual valve or a valve with a thermostatic head.

Recommended connection sets: CORNER, CORNER COMBI, MONO ONE, COMPACT - see accessories

The heating rod is not part of the radiator. Suitable accessories can be found in the accessories.

If the radiator is heated only electrically, it is necessary to buy a ku " plug for the radiator (see accessories).

Possibilities of “side” connection of heating ladders

1. Central heating - manual valve

Set CUBE Set COMPACT Fittings copper ALU fitting Cover rosettes

If you choose to purchase a ladder of this type, you need to choose a suitable connection kit.
If the heating is to be used only for hot water heating without a thermostatic head, it is necessary to buy a connection set
eg COMPACT or CUBE (according to heating design).
The CUBE set is available in chrome, brushed stainless steel or silver.
The COMPACT kit is available in chrome only. The COMPACT and CUBE sets do not distinguish between the right / left variant.
ADVICE! Holes for pipes in tiles are not always perfectly executed, so we recommend to buy a set of cover rosettes. Cover rosettes serve to cover Cu or Alupex pipes and uncleaned holes in the wall. Cover rosettes are available in chrome or brushed stainless steel.
ATTENTION! Our design valves have a special 24-19 thread, which is why it is necessary to buy the recommended compression fittings for each valve according to the material and the diameter of the pipe - copper / alupex.
Compression fittings are available in chrome or brushed stainless steel.

2. Central heating - valve with thermostatic head

CORNER Set Fittings Copper ALU Fittings Cover rosettes

If you choose the thermostatic option, we recommend the CORNER :
ADVICE! The CORNER kit is available in right / left version. The picture above shows the right variant - the hot water supply is on the right, the thermo head itself is placed on the right (always in front view). We recommend selecting the valve so that the head always points in the direction of the horizontal radiator profiles and not to the opposite side (outside the heating). The triaxial design of the valve allows the valve head to be hidden under the radiator, thus avoiding space.
CORNER is available in chrome or brushed stainless steel.
ATTENTION! The aforementioned clamping fittings for heating assembly + cover rosettes. Available in chrome or stainless steel clamping fittings.
Cover rosettes are available in chrome or brushed stainless steel.

3. Combined heating - valve with thermostatic head

Corner COMBI Heating rod Fittings copper ALU fittings Cover rosettes

If you decide to use the heating for both hot-water heating and electric, we recommend the CORNER COMBI connection kit + heating rod:

ADVICE! The heating rod can be retrofitted, but we do not recommend this option because of the probable necessity of dismantling the heating ladder and draining the heating circuit. Selecting the heating rod, see option 4.
ATTENTION! Again, it is necessary to select the right variant of the left / right valve design, see information above.
CORNER COMBI is available in chrome or brushed stainless steel.
ATTENTION! Compression fittings + cover rosettes.
Available in chrome or stainless steel clamping fittings. Cover rosettes are available in chrome or brushed stainless steel.

4. Electric heating - with thermostatic heating rod

When choosing electric heating we offer a wide selection of heating rods - ONE, ONE-D, MOA, KTX, GV ...
ADVICE! The client chooses the heating rod according to his own taste, design and performance!
ATTENTION! The heating rod shall be of adequate power according to the specification of the heating element or the nearest lower possible.

If the heating is only heated electrically, it is necessary to fill this heating with antifreeze anticorrosive liquid , eg LIKIDO . It is also necessary to buy a ku "plug for radiators.
